Still need to catch up on Book 1?

“To save a world you sometimes have to break it apart.”

Reesa Burn is hunted by her past. Eass got what she wanted and it’s not good. Tayl is trying to break free of a web of intrigues.

Reesa Burn is profoundly unhappy. Working for a sociopath does not help. Neither does getting involved in the brewing conflict between the political factions within the House, a conflict that threatens to reveal secrets in her past that might get her killed.

Easla Amrath is questioning her decision making process. Having returned to the Protectorate because … because it seemed the right thing to do, she is inpatient to do something to stop Darien Gwyston. Instead, she continues to collect cryptic allies who’s allegiances remain uncertain.

Tayl Bergin is met with distrust and animosity at the House. Not surprising seeing that he is here to find allies against Darien Gwyston, and Gwyston is far ahead of him. What he didn’t expect is that people are willing to kill him.

Max Ultric is dead. A fact that people remind him of often, but does not keep him from pulling a few strings.

Reesa, Easla and Tayl’s lives soon become entangled in a web that threatens to break the worlds of the Spheres even further apart. And the only way forward is to do some breaking themselves.

The House continues the Fragments’ haunted odyssey across alternate realities and dystopian futures, filled with arcane magic and unforgettable creatures. The second book in this new, exciting series tells a haunting story of loss and obsession, identity and survival, self-determination and believe, and the strangest friendships.

Sneak peeks and Sample Chapters

“The wolf stepped out of the shadows and into the dim light falling through the domed glass ceiling. Frost formed in its paw prints as it crossed the open space surrounded by towering shelves six stories high. The winding balcony connecting the access ways was empty, as were the ladders climbing up the rows of metal racks—the Factorship’s record keepers unlucky enough to be assigned to the restricted stacks had finished their shift, abandoning their charges to the silent whispers of long forgotten times…”

Reviews

“A stunning new multiverse is brought to exquisite life in Minu Freitag’s debut novel, The Fragments, the first book in The Spheres series.”

Self-Publishing Review, ★★★★½

This bold introduction to a new series boasts starkly original characters, a thematically compelling plot, and a sprawling world design like few others in the contemporary fantasy genre, for a highly recommended read that skilfully mixes science fiction, fantasy, and dystopian fiction.”

Self-Publishing Review, ★★★★½

The concept of a multiverse is everywhere nowadays, but not like this. The Spheres is an incredibly unique concept of parallel worlds … the Fragments is a dark and scary place yet full of hope … the unique worlds and diverse characters make me look forward to the next book in this series. I definitely recommend this for a Sci-Fi TBR..”
