The–almost–weekly writing update.
Week 36, 2023
A late and somewhat reluctant writing update—things could have gone better last week. Or this week. Or today. Or this very moment. Silver lining—the new edition trade paperback for The Fragments is out!* Yay!

*KDP’s Customer Support Strategy so evil, the forsaken themselves must have written it. Absolutely useless, they do nothing other than sending canned responses and waiting for you to go away or things to magically resolve themselves.
The House, The Spheres Book Two
I know that most creative projects—like all of mine—go through cycles of doom and gloom when everything falls apart and failure seems imminent … . If you are link me, ignore the doom and gloom, pick up the pieces, and move on—it’s just part of the process.
So … time to take a step back. My 2nd revision was supposed to review and confirm the structure but slipped into the prose chiseling phase which is far more enticing for me … .
( Look at all these words and sentences and paragraphs! All these little cuties need to be turned into flowing strands of story … but alas no, not yet)
So time to step back and revise and confirm the structure, the overall narrative arc, story arcs per POV, timelines to keep track of who does what, when and where. No fun. And it will keep me busy for the next week at least :(. Buhuhuuuuu
Progress in numbers
Word count total— 110,000
Words revised total— 55,000
Words revised last week – no hold (… somewhat better … )
Planned Release December 2023 (… doomed? … )
The Fragments, The Spheres Book One – new editions
We wouldn’t do this if it would be easy, right?
