Writing Challenge—Shut up and write 2023
Current Goal – Complete first revised draft for The House on or before May 14th!
Another Monday and another Writing Update! I made steady progress on the revisions last week, and am carefully confident that the 14th is doable … possibly … ? While things get steadily worse for Eass and Tayl towards the grande final, there is still no progress on the new covers or final book interiors … luckily, I haven’t set a deadline for the new print editions and the updated eBook for The Fragments yet. The overall plan is to publish the updated ‘packaging’ together with the marketing campaign for The House in July or August this year. Publication date for The House remains December 2023.
Progress in numbers
The House revised draft — 105,750 words
Chapters revised – 2 prologues, 38 chapters, 3 interludes
Writing budget is very tight but I haven’t cleaned out the deletes scenes yet—word count target for the House is between 100,000 and 120,000 words.
