Week 30,2023
A work-trip and presentations—and the fact that I have to keep my art stockists happy!—got somewhat in the way of my writing. The break left the revisions stewing on their own for a while, giving me time to come to terms with the fact that The House is a very different book to The Fragments and that this might not be such a bad thing … . Question mark?

Word count total— 103,000 (need to be careful with my word budget)
Words revised total— 44,000
Words revised last week 2,000 (… AGAIN! I don’t want to talk about it … )
Planned Release December 2023 (… feels pretty much out of reach? … )
The Fragments, The Spheres Book One – revised first editions
Awaiting the first proof!
The proof should arrive this week … . #Fingerscrossed I have time to make a few smaller changes if required, but I am not sure a second proof will arrive before the edition is scheduled to golive!
More tweaks and testing on paid ad campaigns. I shall write a post about this soon.

New here? I am New Zealand-based writer, artist and maker Minu Freitag. I have published my first book—The Fragments, an inventive mix of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Dystopian fiction—in 2022 and am currently working on the second book in The Spheres Series—The House—due for release in the first half of 2024.
