Another week. Another update.
Writing Challenge—Shut up and write 2023
Current Goal – Complete first revised draft for The House on or before May 14th!
It’s already Tuesday so high time for the … #drumroll … Writing Update!
I am still stuck in the first round of revisions, trying to tie the changes I made in the first half to the changes I made in second half and vice versa … . May 14th feels suddenly very, very close …
So how did last week go? I am currently jumping backwards and forwards, but the first revisions are done-ish up to Chapter 30. The narrative strategy of The House is quite different compared to The Fragments where I moved from Part to Part based on location, so breaking the book up into Parts might not be the best way forwards … . We’ll see!
Progress in numbers
The House revised draft — 103,250 words
Chapters revised – 2 prologues, 30 chapters, 2 interludes
Writing budget remains very tight—word count target for the House is between 100,000 and 120,000 words.
New here?
