The Boy who lost his Shadow, Drypoint

Drypoint etching on 300g acid free 100% cotton etching paper.

Limited edition of 15
Each print is signed, numbered and dated.

Paper size: approx. 19 cm x 27 cm ( 7.5 inch x 10.6 inch)
Actual plate size: round 13.5 cm in diameter (5.3)

Drypoint is an intaglio printmaking technique. An image is incised into a plate with a hard-pointed “needle” of sharp metal or diamond point. Traditionally, the plate was copper or zinc, but today, a clear acrylic sheet is commonly used.

Printed October 2010 as part of the exhibition ‘Fragments…’ (NZ Art Show 2011).
