Lilu on Paper, 2-colour Screen Prints (2008 to 2010)

The Lilu series is inspired by the – often forgotten – loneliness of growing up. Lilu finds safety and security in her ‘imaginary’ friends. The characters stand for the desire to be someone else – to shape ones own skin, as well as to create your own story, changing the reality around you.

The characters, both child and companion, have an air of disgruntlement at these invasions into their private world.

2-colour screenprints on paper. Limited editions numbered and signed.
